In Memoriam: Acrostic by Jeremy Fogelman, Grandson of Faith Brown

by Alex

Fearless, she was, with her pride of her home and her homeland, whether Wilmington near or Jerusalem far, that pride she taught us all, bright as a star

Always, fed and loved, we felt, off Greenstone road for decades past, in the playgrounds with trees or tissues for a sneeze, the familiar aroma of french toast and lasagna

Inspired, we were, by song and dance, her poems lit our eyes and ears, and melodies that would entrance

Thunderstruck, we were, by her insight and wise words, her knowledge shared throughout the years, we know in truth never fell on deaf ears

Happy, we are, and always will be, for the light and home she shared, a love felt visibly, the heart she wrote in rhymes, we will miss you always and remember forever happy times
