Sophie Rose Schoenberg – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2026Â
Sophie Rose Schoenberg will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on September 26, 2026 at Congregation Beth Shalom. Sophie is in eighth grade at P.S. du Pont Middle School, where she is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She enjoys softball, tennis, and theater. When she’s not at school or on the field, you can usually find Sophie reading a book—the more Greek mythology the better!
For her mitzvah project, Sophie is raising funds for her beloved summer camp’s Awesome Fund. Sophie deeply believes that every kid who wants to go to summer camp should have the opportunity to do so. Sophie is the daughter of Gina and Josh Schoenberg, the sister of Miriam Schoenberg, the granddaughter of Barbara Schoenberg and Susan and Michael Sechter, and the great-granddaughter of Beatrice Hirshout.
