At a time when Jewish communities are seeking strength, connection, and purpose, Jewish National Fund-USA will unite Delaware philanthropists on Monday, March 16, 2026, for an evening of inspiration at its upcoming event, “The Sweet Taste of Resilience.”
The dessert reception, beginning at 7:30 PM, marks the first community-wide evening event hosted by Jewish National Fund-USA in Delaware and will be held in lieu of the organization’s annual Breakfast for Israel. The program will spotlight the resilience of the Israeli people and the organization’s work transforming Israel’s North and South into the most livable regions in the country.
“Recovery isn’t a one-time thing—it’s an ongoing effort,” said Jewish National Fund-USA’s Delaware Board Chair Marty Lessner. “Quick responses matter in a crisis, but lasting change comes from rebuilding, supporting communities, and laying the groundwork for a stronger, brighter future for Israel.”
The event’s featured speaker—Emmy Award-winning journalist, filmmaker, and actor, Yuval David—has been prominently featured as a leading advocate for global Jewry and the land and people of Israel. David is a writing fellow of the Middle East Forum, a U.S. representative of Voice of the People, and a member of the World Zionist Congress whose commentary has been featured on major global news networks.
“My goal is to empower all Jews, our allies, and our future friends to be activists and to stand up for what is right,” said David. “We’re at a time when so many of us are feeling the anxieties, the stress, the anger, and it’s important for us to gather together as a community because it’s in those moments, within this community, that we can be empowered and lean on each other.”
Attendees will also learn how Jewish National Fund-USA is securing Israel’s future by creating the most livable towns and cities in the country’s North and South and how the organization links learning, travel, and leadership so youth, families, and adults stay connected to the land and people of Israel for life.
