Kutz Senior Living Campus: A Growing Technology Hub for Seniors Across the Community

In today’s digital age, staying connected isn’t just a convenience, it’s a vital part of living fully at every stage of life. At Kutz Senior Living Campus, that belief has sparked a mission: to use education and technology to empower not only its residents, but also older adults throughout the Delaware community. Kutz has begun laying the foundation for a future where the campus serves as a central hub for senior learning, connection, and innovation, offering programs that welcome both residents and community members alike.

Over the past year, Kutz has introduced starter technology classes to help residents gain confidence with digital tools—smartphones, tablets, Zoom, and social media. The goal? To reduce the digital divide and open doors to everything from telehealth to online Torah study. “We’ve started with small, starter classes to introduce residents to the basics,” says Wandaliz Natal, Activities Director of Kutz Senior Living Campus. “But this is just the beginning. Our vision is for Kutz to grow into a true community hub for senior technology not just for our residents, but for older adults across the region. We want to create a welcoming space where seniors from the local Jewish and greater Delaware community can come to learn, connect, and feel empowered through technology.”

More than just teaching “how-tos,” Kutz’s programs foster intergenerational engagement. Weekly “Tech Help” sessions pair residents with local volunteers who walk them through common tech questions: how to set up FaceTime, use apps, or access content online. These moments spark real relationships. “The learning goes both ways,” says one volunteer. “We help them with tech, and they share stories that bring our shared history to life.”

Kutz’s commitment to tech isn’t just educational, it’s deeply personal. Digital tools help residents stay in touch with loved ones, attend life-cycle events remotely, and share everyday moments across generations. Staff use digital systems to personalize wellness plans, monitor health trends, and ensure that each resident is fully supported.

As Kutz continues to grow its offerings, the goal is to open these technology education and access resources to the broader senior community—with workshops, drop-in support, and digital learning events open to older adults from across Delaware. “Jewish values call on us to honor and care for our elders,” says Natal. “That includes making sure they aren’t left behind in a world that’s increasingly digital. We believe Kutz can be a center of learning and connection, where every senior feels seen, supported, and included.”
